Do yall remember BlackPlanet? .. I definitely do. That’s where I found my first gay friend. We are still best friends today even tho we don’t see each other often.

Its crazy how we found out about each other thi. We had known each other since about 7th grade because we went to the same middle school. However, in middle school we never really got along. We both kinda figured we were gay but nobody ever spoke on it. He was also alot more noticeable than me so I was trying to remain DL as long as I could.

I had an older brother so I got a lot of my style and swag from him. I was one of the Tall White Tee, Baggy Jean, Timberland Boot types. You know Stomping in my Air Force Ones, give me two pair, Fitted Cap type lol for those old enough to know what im talking about.

Anyhow, one night a few years later I was on BlackPlanet, being grown as usual, surfing for other local gay guys. I still remember my screenname was “WeBallasRounHere” lol. Me and this dude started talking and we realized that we went to the same high school. Neither one of us had pix on our page because we both had DL pages on there. After talking back and fourth pretty much all night we finally figured out who each other was.

This was kinda difficult because we were both trying to tell enough to figure out the other person without giving ourseleves away. It was oinda like a game of clue lol. When we finally met up in school it was kinda awkward because we both “knew each others secret” but that actually brought us closer together. We ended up working through the awkwardness and began building a close friendship that we still share. He is busy building his career in DC but we still make it a point to meet up when we are in the same area.. I need to go visit my Bi**ch soon lol.. its been a while. But we know it’s all love!
